Knitting and Crochet clinics
There will be no clinic on Friday Feb. 17 or Friday February 24
Fridays 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm
We want to make the shop available to our customers who may need extra help on a specific project, or have a question about a technique or who may need help with a project that uses yarn purchased elsewhere.  This also provides a dedicated help person who will not be interrupted by other activities at the shop.

The cost of the clinic will be $5 for each session. You can receive help with either knitting or crochet projects during these clinics. If you have a problem and do not know how much help will be needed you can ask a shop employee and they will let you know if you need to attend a clinic.

Einstein Coat KAL
Sunday February 12 initial meeting
1pm to 3 pm Sundays
Note: there will be no meeting Sunday Feb. 19
This coat is featured in the book Knit Stitch by Sally Melville and will add a basic coat to your winter wardrobe .   The pattern also has options for a man’s or child’s coat. The project is suitable for those who have just learned to knit and is a nice easy project for the more experienced.  The pattern works well in Cascade Eco but also has a lighter weight option that works well with Ultra Alpaca or any worsted weight yarn.   We will have one class to help you determine your gauge, decide on a yarn and make any adjustments to the sizing (you can make a longer or shorter coat or sleeve as you wish and you can make some simple adjustments to change where the bottom section of the coat meets the top section).  The heavy coat is oversized and the lighter coat is a loose fit, this sizing can also be adjusted.

Materials
Heavy coat  (oversized):
46 (50, 54, 58, 62)
Bulky yarn:  Cascade eco wool works well 1100(1200, 1300, 1400, 1500) yards
Size 10 and 8 needles
Size H crochet hook.

Lighter weight coat (loose fit):
40 (44, 48, 52, 56)
Worsted weight yarn (Ultra alpaca works well). 1850, 1960, 2120, 2300, 2460) yards
Size 6 and size 4 needles
Size G or H crochet hook.

Cost class: $40  (covers instruction and fitting)
